THIS EVENT IS POSTPONED. Unfortunately, in light of the recent attacks on Ukraine's infrastructure, the Ukrainian Minister of Health is not able to come to Washington, DC this week. Because of this, we are postponing this event. We hope to reschedule when he is next in town.
In-person location: Counterpart International, 1919 Pennsylvania Ave, NW, Suite 425, Washington, DC 20006
Online location: via Zoom
Participants will have a chance to hear directly from the Ukrainian Minister of Health, Viktor Liashko, during a fireside chat with Erin McKee, Assistant Administrator in the Bureau for Europe and Eurasia (E&E). The discussion will center on major health sector challenges and restoration priorities in Ukraine amidst the war and will be moderated by Wade Warren, Chair of the Board of SID-US and Chief Strategy Officer for International Development at Deloitte US.
Following this conversation, a panel of local and international experts organized by Deloitte Health Reform Support (HRS) will discuss the role and impact of activities to reform Ukraine’s health system and how they have supported and facilitated reconnecting people with health care services in Ukraine during the war and recovery. Primary topics that will be discussed include health sector governance, transparency, adaptive health service delivery, and sustainability as part of core long-term and immediate response activities implemented through USAID/Ukraine Health projects and other partners of the Government of Ukraine (GOU).
