Yael Nagar

Yael Nagar is a Grants Management Specialist covering East Africa at the U.S. African Development Foundation. In her time at USADF, Yael has worked on the agency's Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, and Malawi portfolios and contributed to off-grid energy and women and youth entrepreneurship programming. Before joining USADF, she earned a double B.A. in Economics and Government & Politics at the University of Maryland, where she wrote her honors thesis on microfinance and women’s empowerment. In 2013, Yael studied Swahili in Zanzibar on a Boren Scholarship. In her free time, Yael enjoys travel, listening to podcasts, and a good crossword puzzle.
