Seren is the Founder and Executive Director of Life And Change Experienced thru Sports (L.A.C.E.S.) Over the last 12 years, L.A.C.E.S. has been using the power of sport to create a mentorship-based sports program that addresses social issues that former child soldiers, street children, Ebola orphans and refugees face every day. Under her leadership, L.A.C.E.S. has received global recognition for its work in fighting corruption, decreasing youth attitude towards violence and fighting stigma towards Ebola orphans, all through its research back curriculum and framework. In 2015, Seren was named to the “Inspirational 50” list, which recognizes the most influential sporting and social justice people of our time including Michelle Obama, Muhammad Ali, Nelson Mandela and 46 other people pushing the boundaries to change the world through sports. Seren has 14 years of experience in the sports for development space and speaks globally on the impact of grassroots initiatives and diversity and inclusion.
