The field of international development is not the same sector it once was, and we are ready to embrace the change. After the certification of the votes to amend the Articles of Incorporation, we are excited to announce our rebrand to the Society for International Development, United States of America Chapter.
Our new name as SID-US is a conscious effort to recognize the expanding nature of our chapter and the diversification of development across the sector. With more organizations and individuals working in international development across the country, we envision SID-US to be more relevant and better positioned to elevate fresh and vital perspectives, and we anticipate offering expanded learning, engagement, and small-group networking opportunities.
We look forward to sharing more with you at our Annual Conference on May 26th! If you have not already signed up, there's still time to join us and learn how our new name reflects the evolving field of international development. Hear from USAID Administrator Samantha Power, MCC CEO Alice Albright, DFC CEO Scott Nathan, and many more from around the industry and the world as they reflect on the theme Inclusive Development: A Healthy, Prosperous and Resilient Planet for All to promote access and equity across a variety of topics. Register here and see more Conference updates below.
In the meantime, we have many upcoming changes in store, including a new look for our website. If you aren't already, be sure to follow us on social media (@sidunitedstates) to stay updated with news and updates about the #SIDUSConference and our rebrand.
Thank you for being a part of our community and helping us push forward into a new chapter for the organization. As a national organization, SID-US’s convening power will be enhanced by bringing more diverse voices to international development’s town square, and we are grateful for your continued support to making this happen.
