Susan Werner is a Consultant in international early childhood education with over 20 years experience working throughout the US and overseas. Susan served as an USAID Education Foreign Service Officer, has consulted for Ministries of Education throughout the Middle East, and worked on multiple USAID funded Education projects that supported young children and their families in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia. Susan taught in early childhood classrooms in the US and lectured in Early Childhood Teacher Education for several years in Auckland, New Zealand. She is currently the Chair of the Basic Education Coalition (BEC) Early Childhood Working Group and holds a Master’s in Education Psychology from The University of Auckland, New Zealand.
