Nishant is an Urban Practitioner and an Architect from India. He stared his career in June 2018 and has established himself as an experienced professional in town planning, data analysis, visualization, GIS mapping, digital solutions, data-based innovations, grant management, youth development programs, result based project monitoring, stakeholder management, procurement & bidding process, visual design, communication and knowledge management centred around sustainable urban development, governance, gender equality, digitalization and transport sector.

He has experience of working as an Urban and Regional Development Expert with GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) for 4+ years on a GIZ-EU co-funded project called Sustainable Urban Development – Smart Cities (SUD-SC) focused on advancing resilient and climate-friendly cities that consider principles of digitalization, disaster risk management and leave-no-one-behind as a priority.

Prior to that he worked at World Resources Institute (WRI) for 2 years as a Project Researcher for Safer Commute to School Project implemented as part of BOTNAR Foundations Global Road Safety Challenge. Impact of the project activities got him selected to a 193 people global cohort to voice the road safety needs of youth at the 2nd Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety organised by World Health Organisation at Stockholm in Feb 2020
