Nidhi Bouri serves as the Deputy Executive Director and Chief of Staff of USAID's COVID-19 Task Force. In this capacity, she helps oversee a staff of nearly 200 and resources of over $2 billion in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ms. Bouri has over 13 years of experience in domestic and international health security, humanitarian crises and public health emergencies. For the last few years, Ms. Bouri has led partnerships with the U.S. government interagency in USAID's Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID/OFDA) and also helped lead humanitarian response teams to a range of crises. Prior to joining USAID, Ms. Bouri oversaw humanitarian operations and served in technical advisory roles in the non-profit and private sectors. In these roles, she focused on emergency preparedness and response capacities to meet immediate needs of populations affected by crisis and strengthen the resilience of health systems. Ms. Bouri has served in the field in several countries, including Afghanistan, Iraq, the Democratic Republic of Congo. She has an MPH in Health in Crisis and Humanitarian Assistance from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.
