Marc Steen holds a Master in Business Administration from Twente University in the Netherlands, with a specialization in business management and marketing in developing countries. Mr. Steen’s 25 years of professional development experience, 20 of which in leadership positions in Africa, is in the field of value chain and business development, financial management, team management and capacity strengthening. Currently, he works for CNFA as Chief of Party for the $41 million USAID Feed the Future Livestock Market Development project. LMD aims to support the transformation of the dairy and meat and live animal value chains in Ethiopia, using a proven, holistic value chain development approach resulting in increased income and improved nutritional indices for over 500,000 beneficiaries. Mr. Steen was the initiator of the innovative 'push-pull' concept introduced in the USAID-funded Productive Safety Net Program Plus (PSNP+) program to link food insecure households to commercial value chains.
