Lily Han, CFA, is a Principal at Volta Capital, where she has had a particular focus on advising, designing, launching, and managing innovative development finance mechanisms. Lily has helped pioneer the use of impact bonds in emerging markets, including designing a bond for malaria control in Mozambique, structuring and managing a bond for cataract surgeries in central Africa, and a bond for early childhood health & education services in South Africa. She also helped structure the $600M Goldman Sachs Foundation “Women Entrepreneurs Opportunity Facility” to provide access to finance for women-led SMEs. Prior to joining Volta, Lily worked at the United States Department of the Treasury in the Chief Investment Officer’s team in the Office of Financial Stability (TARP), and for Lehman Brothers / Barclays Capital as part of an asset management consulting group. Lily holds a Master's in Finance from London Business School, a Master’s in International Relations from Johns Hopkins’ School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and a Bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from Yale University. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Society of Washington, DC.
