Kristen Foster previously worked at the National Republican Congressional Committee and is a strong advocate for getting more women and minorities to run for office. While there she managed a multi-million dollar budget and aided in keeping members and donors apprised on the ever-changing political landscape. Kirsten has always had a passion for empowering women. While working for the U.S. House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee, she started the women's portfolio to spotlight international women's issues. She is a former Leon Panetta and We Lead Fellow. Kirsten attended California State University, Chico, where she received a B.A. in International Relations and minored in Women' Studies. She helped run the Women's Program at Chico and spearheaded an event called Elect Her, to encourage more women to run for Student Body Government. She is also currently a mentor at Year Up.
