Judithe Registre is a seasoned international economic development expert with more than 18 years of professional experience in human rights, gender equality, and women and girls’ empowerment. She is the Program Director for the Because I Am A Girl Campaign at Plan International USA. The campaign creates sustainable projects in developing countries to give girls access to the most basic of human rights: clean water, food, healthcare, education, financial security, and protection from violence and exploitation.
Judithe is also the Co-chair of the Advocacy Working Group for the Coalition of the Adolescent Girls and leadership member of the Council on Women’s Leadership at Meridian International Center. Previously, she served as the Director of Policy and Outreach for Women for Women InternationalUK (WfWI-UK) in London. Before joining WfWI, Judithe worked in various capacities for the International Foundation for Election Systems and Africare.
Judithe has a BA in philosophy from Boston College, a Master’s in philosophy and social policy from American University, and a Master's Certificate in advanced social research from Afrikaans University in South Africa. She is a Fellow Alumnus of the prestigious Salzburg Seminar, a forum for the discussion of international problems and their potential solutions.
