Jeff Szuchman is the Deputy Director of the Office of Policy in USAID’s Bureau for Policy, Planning, and Learning. He has previously served other roles in PPL's Policy Office, including Deputy Director and Senior Policy Advisor. Prior to joining USAID, he was Assistant Professor of Global Studies at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He holds a B.A. from Brandeis University and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures from UCLA.
