Hugo van der Goes currently holds the position of Vice President Strategic Accounts and Cocoa Sustainability. He is responsible for the overall strategic governance and coordination of Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate North America corporate customers. In his sustainability role, he leads the development of the overall sustainability strategy and approach for North America. Prior his current role, Hugo did lead the commercial function (Vice President Sales, Marketing and R&D) for Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate in North America.
Before relocating to the United States, van der Goes was employed by Cargill Cocoa, Netherlands, as the Regional Manager for Europe for 2 years. His main responsibilities included managing the cocoa powder sales force in Western Europe. Van der Goes was the manager of Food Manufacturing Sales for Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate, North America for 5 years, where he oversaw the Food Manufacturing sales team along with managing key accounts.
Van der Goes attended Erasmus University, Rotterdam, where he received a Master of Science in Economics and International Marketing Management. He lives in Lititz, Pennsylvania with his wife Marieke and 3 kids.
