Dmytro Mykhaylenko (Dima) has a health and capacity development background and has been working in the field of HIV for over 12 years.
Prior to joining Pact’s Global Capacity Development team, he worked in USAID’s RESPOND project at Pact Ukraine, where he was responsible for coordinating and providing technical assistance for strengthening organizational and network capacities of the local partners as they crafted a more effective and sustainable HIV response.
Before joining Pact, he led an all-Ukrainian charitable organization “Convictus Ukraine” funded by Global Fund, SIDA and AFEW. During his work with Convictus, Dima was responsible for developing and piloting a national three-step re-integration program for people released from prison in Ukraine. He managed to establish the first half-way house for women. He has also implemented a number of projects on HIV prevention, care and support for key populations (MSM, PWID, and PLHIV).
