As global movements such as #MeToo and #BlackLivesMatter continue to gain momentum, there has never been a more relevant time for organizations to strengthen diversity, equity, and inclusion. When we look across the international development sector, we surprisingly still see little diversity across the community, especially at the leadership levels. As international development strives to become more inclusive, many organizations are uncertain about the steps needed to turn words into action.
SID-Washington announces a series on “Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion” to highlight what organizations are doing to create meaningful, systematic change toward more equitable environments both at headquarters and in the field.
Learn more about how organizations make the business case for DEI and the strategies and tools they use to promote DEI in leadership, boards, talent recruitment, and retention.
Events in this series will include:
- A workgroup event on March 26th regarding gender and the digital divide.
- A chapter event on April 2nd to discuss the International Career Advancement Program (ICAP) Fellowship.
- A workgroup event on April 10th regarding disability inclusion.
- A CEO Breakfast on Equity.
- And many more!
