Devona Bell is Heifer International’s Director of Programs & Business Development for Asia. Devona has over two decades of experience globally in regenerative, climate-smart and eco-based agriculture, natural resource management, water resource management, and ecosystem restoration, as well as in the development of smallholder farmers capacity, market systems, SMEs, rural economies, and agriculture cooperatives.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Natural Resource Policy and Administration with an emphasis on participatory, multidisciplinary, collaborative, and innovative approaches. Combining her business, agricultural and environmental knowledge and experience, she assists governments, philanthropic foundations, institutions, organizations, and communities to identify, develop and put into operation realistic economically viable environmental and sustainable food and farming systems strategies. Devona, with her two girls, two dogs, two cats, two horses, and a lot of bees, has a small-diversified regenerative organic farm in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains.
