Chaney represents business entities, officers and directors, and investors in corporate and commercial litigation before the Delaware Court of Chancery, Superior Court, Supreme Court, and the District Court for the District of Delaware. Her practice includes actions relating to corporate governance and alternative entity disputes, mergers and acquisitions, breach of contract, non-compete agreements, wrongful discharge, and retaliation and discrimination on the basis of age, race, sex, and disability. In addition to her litigation practice, Chaney counsels boards of directors and committees of boards of directors regarding general corporate matters. She also advises employers regarding compliance with federal and state statutes governing employment.

Her experience includes fiduciary duty matters and governance issues, statutory appraisal actions, books and records demands, contract disputes, noncompete and trade secrets, corporation litigation and counseling, commercial litigation and counseling, and employment counseling and compliance.
 
Prior to joining Fox, Chaney was an attorney at an international law firm. She was also an attorney and summer associate at a Delaware-based law firm. While in law school, Chaney was an executive editor of the Duke Journal of Constitutional Law & Public Policy and the Duke Forum for Law & Social Change. She also served as a research assistant for Professor Mitu Gulati at the Duke University School of Law and Professor Roy Brooks at the University of San Diego School of Law.
