Ben Crampton is Director forEuropean Government Affairs at Microsoft. He joined the company in late 2021 after 20 years as a diplomat working variously for the UK Foreign Office, the United Nations and, principally, for the European. His work as a diplomat focused primarily on conflict and post-conflict negotiation in the Balkans, the Caucasus and East Africa. His last position before joining Microsoft was as Chief of Staff to the EU Special Representative for the Horn of Africa. Ben is a member of the Board of Finn Church Aid Investments, a non-profit investment fund based in Helsinki and investing in SMEs in Kenya, Somalia and Uganda.
