Asha is responsible for SID-Washington's financial, operational, and strategic planning functions. She also manages Board-level initiatives. Asha previously coordinated women's economic empowerment projects at the UN Foundation, including an ExxonMobil Foundation-funded research grant. Prior to that, she served as task manager on a USAID health systems project, conducting financing activities in Haiti, Rwanda, and South Sudan, and implementing projects in six other countries.
 
Outside of work, she has served on the boards of StreetWise Partners, a job skills training and mentor program for low-income individuals, and the Young Non-Profit Professionals Network of DC. She previously volunteered with Compass, providing pro bono strategic business consulting to non-profits.
 
Asha holds a BA in economics and government from Smith College, and an MBA from Georgetown University with an honors certificate from its School of Foreign Service.
