Amy Johnson is a Senior Learning Advisor with EnCompass LLC. She has more than 25 years of experience including leadership positions in federal government, non-profit organizations, and grassroots associations implementing projects across the globe and in the United States.

Ms. Johnson served as Workforce Development Director for the Global Health Training, Advisory, and Support Contract (GHTASC) supporting USAID’s Bureau for Global Health. Previously, she led the Learning, Development, and Training (LDT) contract supporting USAID’s Bureau for Conflict Prevention and Stabilization to strengthen staff capacity and increase organizational effectiveness through knowledge management, training and facilitation, and organizational change services. She has also served as an instructional designer for courses supporting USAID’s Office of Human Capital and Talent Management, as learning evaluation lead for the Cadre Development and Training activity with USAID’s Center for Conflict and Violence Prevention, and as a contributor to the Gender Learning Strategy for USAID’s Office of Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment.

As an independent consultant, Ms. Johnson led learning needs assessments, served as an instructional designer, developed and facilitated leadership and management webinars, and led operational and strategic planning retreats. Ms. Johnson has also served as Chief of Programming & Training for the Inter-America & Pacific Region at Peace Corps, led fundraising and programming efforts for the International Women’s Media Foundation, designed professional development training for USAID-funded programs, and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Belize supporting the local YWCA. She earned a Masters degree in Intercultural Communication from the University of Pennsylvania, a Graduate Certificate in Global Nutrition Programming from Tufts University, and a Bachelors in Political Science from the University of Delaware. Ms. Johnson also holds Bronze certification in the use of Kirkpatrick Four Levels Evaluation.
