Worku Gachou

Worku Gachou is Head of North America Inclusive Impact & Sustainability at Visa Inc., where he drives social and environmental impact in the U.S. and Canada. Prior to Visa, Worku was a senior political appointee at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), advising the agency’s CEO while overseeing a regional portfolio of over $5 billion in impact investments. Before DFC, Worku was a policy advisor at Covington & Burling LLP and served on the Foreign Affairs Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. He received a B.A. in Political Science from DePaul University and an M.A. in Liberal Studies from Georgetown University.
