Tracey Chambers is a dynamic and impact-driven leader with a career spanning 25 years. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant from UCT and has held various positions in management consulting, systems implementation, and supply chain projects. 

Tracey spent 9 years at the leading listed retailer, Woolworths, where she served as Head of Finance for 4 years. In 2010, she co-founded Taking Care of Business (Previously known as The Clothing Bank), a social enterprise aimed at empowering unemployed mothers to start their own retail businesses. 

This inspired the creation of GROW Educare Centres in 2014, where Tracey serves as the CEO, leading the team to empower those educating the next generation. Tracey is also a founding director of The Greenlight Movement and remains the CEO of Taking Care of Business (TCB).

Through TCB's five key programs, Resell, Repair, Remake, Reskill and GROW Educare Centres, Tracey and her team aim to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the skills and resources they need to access the economy and break the cycle of poverty. Tracey is a recognized leader in the field, having received numerous awards and accolades, including the Western Cape Premier Business Award for Business of the Year and Social Entrepreneur of the Year in 2017, the Schwab Social Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2016, Western Cape Business Women of the Year in 2015. Her most recent award received in 2023 was the City of Cape Town Mayors medal for Community Service. She is also an active Ashoka and Schwab Fellow.
