Simona Haiduc manages the technical fundraising team that develops relationships and builds business development strategies with strategic government agencies, multilateral donor institutions, corporations, and large foundations.
She previously served as VP of International Business Development, responsible for key accounts including MasterCard Foundation, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and other key corporations. Previously, as VP of Program Management, Simona provided oversight to Opportunity’s Program and Knowledge Management teams.
In this role she was responsible for supervising the planning; funds placement; and management, monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities for all major grants from private and institutional donors. Prior to joining Opportunity in 2003, Simona managed the microfinance program for the Open Society/Soros Foundation in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. She holds a M.Sc. in Management of International Public Service Organizations from New York University.
