Dr. Molly Hellmuth joined Abt in February 2024 as the Senior Project Director for the USAID-funded Comprehensive Action for Climate Change Initiative, Abt’s global flagship program aimed at supporting countries to meet their climate change commitments. Dr. Hellmuth is a well-known thought leader with over 25 years of experience in the field of climate change and sustainable development. Her experience lies in strategic decision making, business development, technical implementation, and portfolio management. She has facilitated long-term growth and diversification of programmatic and institutional portfolios across key technical areas including the integration of climate change mitigation and adaptation into the energy, transportation, water, and agriculture sectors. She has secured over $80 million in new funding for climate and development initiatives, with a successful track record in winning small and large competitive funding opportunities from bilateral, multi-lateral and private sector clients. She has supported technical implementation in over 45 countries. And she currently serves as the Lead Author of the International Chapter of the 5th U.S. National Climate Assessment.
