Lauren Yang is a seasoned communications professional with a focus on creating innovative, communications-driven systems that promote sustainable growth. Currently, she serves as the Director of Communications for USAID's Climate Finance for Development Accelerator, the agency's leading climate finance initiative. Passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship, Lauren works at the intersection of investment and impact, collaborating with both public and private sectors to implement strategic communications initiatives that foster collaboration and growth.
Throughout her career, she has been involved with technology-driven startups and has supported some of USAID's most innovative projects, including INVEST, the Grand Challenges for Development, and the U.S. Global Development Lab. Lauren earned her B.S. in News-Editorial Journalism from the University of Illinois, graduating with highest honors. She resides in the Chicago suburbs with her husband, two children, and dog, and enjoys playing ice hockey in her free time.
