Jeff Goldberg is a proven senior leader and accomplished manager of global foreign assistance policies, programs, resources, and diverse teams, with a focus on water security and resilience. He currently serves as Senior Water Stewardship Advisor at Amazon, where he leads international efforts to return more water to the environment and communities than the company uses in its direct operations.
Previously, Jeff spent over 12 years at USAID, where he served as Director of the Center for Water Security, Sanitation and Hygiene, and frequently as Acting Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Resilience, Environment and Food Security. He is an expert in designing and implementing complex policy and programmatic initiatives at all organizational levels.
Jeff led the development of the U.S. Global Water Strategy twice and managed a $475 million annual portfolio of water and sanitation investments across 40 USAID missions worldwide. He is also a creative and effective partnership broker, collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders—including host-country governments, implementing partners, the private sector, Congress, civil society, and donor organizations—to maximize policy and programmatic impact.
