Diana Santillán is EnCompass’ Principal Advisor for Gender Equity and Inclusive Practices, with over 30 years of experience in research, evaluation, training, and technical assistance to advance gender equality and social inclusion in international health and development. She has worked for various international organizations and academic institutions in diverse settings, including Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia. Before joining EnCompass, she was the Senior Gender Advisor in USAID/Bureau for Global Health, Office of Population and Reproductive Health, where she helped develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate policies and programs to support gender integration and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts across the Agency, both at headquarters and country missions. Ms. Santillán specializes in the anthropology of gender and sexuality and obtained her three Master’s degrees in the Philosophy of Human Sciences, Anthropology, and Women’s Studies at The George Washington University. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
