Monika A. Gorzelanska is a federal operations and international development leader with over 15 years of experience driving complex programs in stabilization, national security, and humanitarian assistance. She most recently served as Director of the Program Management Office (PMO) for USAID’s Somalia portfolio, overseeing more than 20 concurrent projects and coordinating closely with the Department of Defense and Department of State to deliver high-impact, mission-critical results. Her previous assignments include leading USAID portfolios in Central Asia, Georgia, and Ghana valued at up to $500 million and ensured alignment with U.S. foreign policy and national security objectives. During her tenure at USAID, she also partnered with global corporations, including Coca-Cola on water security initiatives and Pfizer on expanding vaccine access to strengthen private-sector collaboration in global health and development. A former Foreign Service Officer, she was recognized for building and leading high-performing teams, navigating complex geopolitical landscapes, and ensuring compliance in high-stakes federal environments. She holds PMP and FAC-P/PM Mid-Level certifications and brings deep expertise in federal strategy implementation, performance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement. She earned a Master’s degree in Peace Operations Policy from George Mason University. Originally from Poland, she is fluent in Polish and Russian.
